About Waterford Balloonfest

Experience the Best of Waterford Balloonfest

Waterford Balloonfest is a one-of-a-kind event that brings together music, food, and hot air balloons.

  • Waterford hosted the balloon festival from 2011-2018, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025
  • Average attendance ranged from 8,000 to 10,000
  • Over 30% of attendees were from out of state 
  • This is the only hot-air balloon festival in the area
  • The Village of Waterford and Waterford Union High School are planning the event this year.
  • The event will take place on the grounds of Waterford Union and Waterford Graded School Districts.

Waterford Balloonfest is a free event, but parking is $10 per vehicle. Please note that parking is cash only.

Personal dogs are not allowed at Waterford Balloonfest. 

There is very limited seating, so we encourage everyone to bring their own chairs and blankets to enjoy the event.

Handicap parking is available in the Evergreen lot off Main Street. Parking is $10 per vehicle.

We do not guarentee that the hot air balloons will go up. There are very specific weather requirements that must be met for a launch. We want to ensure the safety of all the pilots and attendees. If there is a launch it is scheduled for 6pm.
